Father, son arrested after deputies discover over 200 lbs. of marijuana in vehicle

MANDAN, N.D. (KFYR) -- The Morton County Sheriff's Office made a massive drug bust Sunday during a routine traffic stop on I-94 near Mandan, North Dakota. Deputies arrested a father and son after a vehicle search revealed $1.1 million worth of drugs.

Deputies seized 210 pounds of raw marijuana, five pounds of THC wax and eight grams of meth.

53-year-old Robert Earl Smith and his son, 24-year-old Christopher Conkey, were arrested for possession with intent to deliver. They are being held at the Burleigh/Morton County Detention Center.
