LOUISVILLE. Ky. (WKYT) -- Fried chicken may not always equal romance, but KFC is hoping to change that.
The chicken chain is giving away scratch n' sniff Valentine's Day cards featuring none other than Colonel Sanders and few finger lickin' phrases.
To pick up one of the four cards, you'll have to order a $10 chicken share meal. With a bucket of crispy chicken classics in-hand, you can scratch and sniff KFC's 11 herbs and spices to show your honey and biscuits just how much you care.
Each Valentine's Day card includes a love note, such as "You have the secret recipe to my heart," "We're two peas in a chicken pot pie" and "You're the cole to my slaw."
KFC's limited-edition valentines are free, while supplies last. They started hitting stores on Monday.
For those who are more digitally inclined, KFC has partnered with Tenor, a GIF search engine, to create a series of animated KFC valentines for sharing with friends & family. Starting this week and running through Valentine's Day, users of Tenor's GIF Keyboard mobile app can find the animated KFC valentines by searching for both love- and singlehood-related terms in the keyboard.
Those messages have sayings like "Love stricken with chicken."
