KPD: Naked man drunk on Smirnoff walks into house, grabs cold drink

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Officers arrested a man drunk on Smirnoff after he wandered into a home off Central Avenue Pike completely naked in search of a cold drink.

According to arrest records, he's wanted out of Macomb County, Michigan, for assaulting a police officer as well.

The homeowner called Knoxville Police just before 2 p.m. Saturday, July 7, after he grabbed a bat and chased a naked man out of his house on Elyria Drive. The responding officer spotted the naked man, 37-year-old Rodriguez Pierre-Jayvan Bell, walking south on Central Avenue Pike and when he attempted to get Bell into his patrol vehicle, Bell ran off.

According to arrest records, Bell ran back into the yard of the home he was chased out of with a bat, where he began yelling at the homeowner standing in his driveway. The officer was able to get Bell into his patrol car, and the homeowner then said Bell had walked into his house and grabbed a cold drink from the refrigerator. That's when the homeowner spotted Bell and chased him out with the bat.

An ambulance arrived, and Bell allegedly told the crew he'd drank Smirnoff and did not want to go to the hospital. He was arrested at the scene.

Bell is facing charges including public intoxication, disorderly conduct, indecent exposure and fugitive from justice. He's currently being held on a $1,500 bond and is due in court on July 11.
