Knoxville native Kelsea Ballerini to perform at Academy of Country Music Awards

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Knoxville native and Grammy award nominee Kelsea Ballerini will perform on the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards.

The awards have honored the biggest names in country music and emerging talent. The awards will be held Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET.

Ballerini was also nominated for two awards this year, Female Vocalist of the Year and Video of the Year for her song "Peter Pan." She will perform alongside acts like Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum and Miranda Lambert.

The awards will be co-hosted once again by Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley.

Other stars scheduled to perform at the event include Lauren Daigle, Faith Hill, Sam Hunt, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Reba McEntire, Thomas Rhett, Chris Stapleton, Cole Swindell, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban.

Comcast also announced their partnership with the awards Monday. This will give XFINITY customers an inside look into the awards with an On Demand feature as well as an exclusive encore performance by Ballerini.
