KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Knoxville police say a driver involved in deadly crash that happened on I-40 Wednesday morning does not appear to have been playing a video game at the time of the crash.

This comes after a post on Facebook went viral, claiming the wreck was caused by a distracted driver playing Pokemon Go.

The investigation is continuing and investigators plan to continue interviewing family and friends of Anthony Swartz.

The crash happened just after 1 a.m. Wednesday. Investigators say Anthony Swartz, 21, Maryville, was driving an SUV the wrong way on I-40 near downtown Knoxville. That's when he crashed head on into a semi-truck driven by Trent Carroll, 67, Evington, Va. The crash caused both vehicles to erupt in flames.

The interstate was shut down for hours as crews worked to clear the scene.
