NEWPORT, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A man now faces charges after police say he tried breaking into multiple vehicles while naked in a Newport neighborhood.
On Monday, Cocke County deputies were called to Echo Valley Way after receiving reports of a naked man trying to break into vehicles parked at homes in the area.
When authorities arrived on the scene, they noticed a naked man running barefoot to the porch of an elderly woman's home, then knocking on her door. Deputies said the man ran into the woods after the woman's relatives showed up at her house.
Investigators later found the man identified as Brandon Dunn in a cow pasture near Murray Branch Road. When asked by deputies why he was naked, Dunn said the Lord told him to do it.
Dunn, 37, of Newport, was charged with indecent exposure stemming from the incident.
