KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Nearly a dozen ducklings were rescued over the last two days by fire crews around Knoxville.

On Wednesday, crews with Rural Metro Fire rescued three ducklings from a storm sewer and returned them to their anxious mother today. The woman who captured the sweet moment said it happened outside of the Little Gym in Farragut.

"We were all crying," said Sarah Beth Tidmore.

The Knox County Fire Bureau said that the captain of Station 41 in Farragut has rescued 11 ducklings in two days. The organization called today's rescue "delicate."
