Sevierville Police Department conducts drug raid; 2 arrested

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Sevierville Police Department is conducting a raid in Sevierville and two people have been arrested.

A large police presence was on the scene in the 300 block on Sevier Street Thursday morning, as well as a hazmat crew.

Officers said they knocked on the door of the home and determined drug activity was going on inside. As a hazmat crew works to clear the scene and determine what types of drugs were in the home, one neighboring home was evacuated as a precaution.

According to officers at the scene, neighborhood complaints about illegally parked vehicles led to the arrests.
