PIONEER, Tenn. (WVLT) -- TDOT spokesman Mark Nagi says the second northbound lane on I-75 near the rock slide will reopen by Friday. Once this lane reopens, the entire highway will be open to traffic.
Crews are currently removing concrete barrier in anticipation of the reopening of the lane.
The slide shut down the interstate completely February 26.
TDOT signed a $2.9 million contract with Charles Blalock and Sons Inc to remove debris, stabilize the existing slope and repair the interstate.
