One dead, two injured following car crash in Cocke County

COSBY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- THP is investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Cocke County Thursday evening.

The crash, which occurred near 321 in the Cosby area, was reported by TDOT at about 6:12 p.m.

According to THP's report, one person was killed and two were injured. The report states that vehicle one, a Hyundai Elantra, was traveling northbound on Highway 321. Vehicle two, a Honda Pilot, was traveling southbound when the Hyundai crossed the center line, hitting the Honda head-on.

The Hyundai rotated 180 degrees and stopped in the road. The Honda went off of the road into a creek.

The driver of the Hyundai, a Sevierville man, was killed. The driver and passenger in the Honda were injured.
