KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Bucket by bucket, Tennessee's basketball teams are scoring big with the fans. On Wednesday night The Lady Vols scored the third highest points in team history, racking up 131 against Troy.
"They're doing great this year, so proud of them, I came to school here from 1994 until 1998 so I was here for the three National Championships it's reminiscent of that," said Dan Swanson.
The Lady Vols are off to a 9-0 start and ranked 11th in the country.
The men's team is shining, too, making the AP Top 25 for the first time since 2010.
The men's game against North Carolina is sold out. This is the first time since February 2015 Thompson–Boling Arena has seen this kind of support.
"I tired to get some tickets through work and it wasn't happening so that's a good sign for the basketball program," Swanson.
