UTK student transit bus catches fire overnight

UTK Student Transit Bus Catches Fire - No Injuries On Monday, January 7, 2019, at 11:37 p.m., KPD and UTPD assisted the Knoxville Fire Department with a UTK Student Transit bus that had caught fire on White Avenue near 22nd Street. There were no students on board and the driver was able to escape safely. The bus is owned by First Transit, which manages and operates shuttle service for UTK.
