Knoxville (WVLT) - Knox County Commissioners are divided after a jury found them guilty of violating Tennessee's open meeting law.
Tuesday, the jury for the Knoxville News Sentinel's sunshine trial returned to the courtroom with the guilty verdict.
The jury determined that some commissioners met in private to discuss appointments to twelve county positions, state law requires the meetings to be held in public.
Knox County mayor Mike Ragsdale says he hopes the chancellor hands out a clear roadmap of how to move forward. Otherwise, he says it could be chaos.
