FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (AP) -- A Fort Campbell soldier from Kansas was found dead last Friday in a Nashville hotel room, but authorities say the cause of his death is unknown.
Army Private John M. Marlnee of Leon, Kansas, was a petroleum supply specialist assigned to the 305th Quartermaster Company, 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division.
Nashville police said the 22-year-old Marlnee rented a room in Nashville on Thursday intending to go to nightclubs.
He was found dead by a maid.
Police said there were no signs of trauma or foul play. An autopsy is being done.
