Former TSSAA Umpire Sentenced to Life in Prison

KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) A man who admitted that he was accessing child pornography when FBI agents arrived at his home to question him, will spend the rest of his life in prison.

David Aaron Becker, 54 was sentenced to life in prison this afternoon by U.S. District Judge Tom Varlan on one count of child pornography.

He received 40 years in prison on another count.

Both sentences will be served concurrently.

According to court papers, Becker told TBI agents he used his job as a TSSAA umpire to get children to comply with his sexual advances.

According to the federal complaint, Becker admitted to having sexual contact with three children in East Tennessee since he moved here in 2001.

The complaint states that Becker admitted to FBI agents that he assaulted another child and transmitted those images over the internet.

Becker was previously convicted for the sexual assault of three eleven year old boys in Colorado.
