Dolly Sang to her Former Duet Partner in His Last Hours

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Dolly Parton says she sang and prayed with Porter Wagoner during his last hours.

Wagoner, her former duet partner, died last night in Nashville at age 80.

Parton said in a statement today that she was able to say goodbye to him properly.

Wagoner, who had lung cancer, performed on the Grand Ole Opry for 50 years.

Funeral services will be Thursday morning at the Grand Ole Opry House.
