Snow Causing Delays, Accidents, Closures From Chicago to Northern KY

UNDATED (WVLT) A strong storm system is bringing the first touch of winter from Chicago all the way down to Northern Kentucky.

American and United flights to Knoxville's McGhee Tyson Airport experienced delays this morning due to heavy snowfall in the Chicagoland area.

Some flights were canceled.

As much as 3-6 inches of snow fell on some areas.

The snow came a bit later in Cincinnati.

Some suburbs of Cincinnati are already dealing with up to two inches of snow.

Dozens of school systems have closed.

WKYT-TV in Lexington is reporting snow in some northern and northeastern counties.

Some views reported up to an inch of snow in Morehead.

Other places where they are used to snow, are actually getting more than they want.

Volunteer TV reporter Allison Hunt says that there's about three feet of snow on the ground near her family's home outside of Buffalo, New York.

Most of that snow came on Monday and Monday night.
