KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) The FBI, and Knox County Sheriff's deputies are searching for a bank robber on this day after Christmas.
Knox County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Martha Dooley says around 11:30 this morning a man robbed the SunTrust bank branch inside the Kroger at Cedar Bluff and Middlebrook Pike.
Dooley says the suspect gave the teller a note, and then took it back. He did not show a weapon.
He was last seen driving a maroon Mazda Miata with a kakhi rag top, heading west on Lovell Road toward Hardin Valley.
Dooley describes the suspect as white, 5'10'', 180 pounds, and wearing a ball cap with the emblem covered in black electrical or duct tape.
He also had the tape on his fingers.
Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI or the Knox County Sheriff's Office at 215-2243.
