Trial date set for Jefferson Co. daycare workers

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn (WVLT) -- A trial date is now set for two Jefferson County daycare workers, charged with child abuse and neglect.

Investigators say back in September, Kim Ball and Angela Day left four-month old Deshawn Toner in a dark bathroom at Noah's Ark Nursery and Daycare with packing tape over his mouth.

After the incident, Ball and Day were arrested and the nursery lost it's license.

Deshawn Toner died on New Year's Day in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at eight months old.

Police there say there was no evidence of foul play in his death.

Ball and Day and not connected to deshawn's death.

The judge set the child abuse trial for April 10th, 2008
