Ky. calf thriving despite being born with leg coming out of neck (w/pictures)

LEXINGTON, KY (WVLT) It may sound a little odd, but a newly born calf with five, count them 5 legs, is thriving on a Kentucky farm.

The little guy was born overnight on March 19, without the help of farmers.

Besides the obvious fifth leg attached to his neck, the calf is doing just fine.

Farmers think the calf may have been the only one of twin embryos to survive.

The fifth appendage is causing a slight concern for farmers, because it tends to get in the way of the little guy when he is trying to feed.

A veterinarian is scheduled to come out and give the calf a full medical evaluation.

Right now, he appears to be quite healthy
