Actress Patricia Neal to get Lifetime Achievement Award from Nashville Film Festival

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Actress Patricia Neal is receiving a Lifetime Achievement award from the Nashville Film Festival.

The 82-year-old Neal starred in a number of now classic films including "A Face in the Crowd," "The Day the Earth Stood Still" and "Hud," for which she won an Oscar.

Neal, was born in Packard, Ky., but grew up and attended high school in Knoxville.

Singer/actor Lyle Lovett, who co-starred with Neal in Robert Altman's 1999 film "Cookie's Fortune," was scheduled to present the honor Tuesday night.

Neal continues to travel with New York's Theatre Guild and will appear with Billy Ray Cyrus in the upcoming movie "Flying By."
