Oak Ridge Police investigate overnight stabbing

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Police were called to a disturbance on South Benedict Avenue near the intersection of South Dillard Avenue around 11:30 Monday night.

They say around 20 people were in the street, some allegedly intoxicated.

Kevin Steen, 48, of Oak Ridge, was found with multiple bruises to the head and face. 

Investigators say a few minutes later, officers found Eddie Mitchell, 32, of Oak Ridge, at Hallmark Apartments with several stab wounds. 

Both men were taken by ambulance to UT Medical Center.

The investigation is ongoing. It has not been determined what charges, if any, will be filed.
