Body matching description of missing Claiborne County woman found

CLAIBORNE COUNTY, Tenn (WVLT) The Claiborne County Sheriff's Office says a body matching the description of a missing woman has been found in the Speedwell community.

Officers say the body likely belongs to Kelley Clawson, 46, who was last seen on Saturday, May 24.

A missing person report was filed the following day stating that she had not been seen or heard from.

The body is being sent for autopsy where a positive identification will be made. There is an active and ongoing investigation into Ms. Clawson’s case.

According to Detectives working this case, there were no apparent signs of foul play and no violence suggesting criminal activity.

The Claiborne County Sheriff's Department is asking for help locating a missing woman.

46 year old Kelley Clawson was last seen on Powell Ridge Road around noon on May 24th.

Clawson was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, a red jacket and pink and white tennis shoes.

She's got brown hair and green eyes. She's 5'2" and weighs about 116 pounds.

Clawson has a tattoo on her right shoulder inscribed with "Hollywood's Gipsy." She has another tattoo of roses with vines on her right ankle.
