Alleged Wrong Way Driver Gets Delay in Hearing

Knoxville (WVLT) - A Halls man will get at least two and a half more weeks to prepare for an arraignment on charges of killing three young people in an accident.

33-year-old Clint Walker turned himself in Monday, after being indicted last month on six counts of vehicular homicide, two counts of aggravated assault, one count of reckless endangerment, and two counts of driving under the influence.

He's accused of driving the wrong way on Interstate 640 back in February, and hitting a car head-on.

Two brothers, Nicholas and Joshua McMillan, and their friend Jessica Jones were killed instantly.

Walker's being held on $20,000 bond, but Thursday, his lawyer asked for, and got, a delay in arraignment so that his parents can attend.

His new court date is October third.
