Illegal Immigrant Pleads Guilty to Providing Phony Papers

Knoxville (AP) - An illegal immigrant faces deportation after serving a federal prison term in a fake ID selling scheme.

Francisco Sebastian Andres pleaded guilty Thursday in Knoxville to manufacturing fake identification documents for other illegal immigrants.

The federal prosecutor says Andres was charging $150 to create fake social security cards and "green cards."

An undercover law enforcement agent paid for a green card, then arrested Andres.

The plea-bargained deal will likely bring Andres only about two years in prison. It states Andres admitted making nearly two dozen phony ID cards, but since the deal was negotiated, the real number of IDs could be considerably higher.

He'll be sentenced on January 16th.
