Governor's Plane Makes Emergency Landing

Nashville (WVLT) - A pre-election scare for Governor Phil Bredesen.

Pilots on board the chartered plane carrying him, First Lady Andrea Conte and eight staffers to Jackson noticed a hydraulic problem on approach to Jackson.

They returned to Nashville to land on a longer runway.

The plane landed with no problems.

It was business as usual for the Governor Tuesday, the governor voted this morning in Nashville.

His challenger State Senator Jim Bryson is still campaigning. He was in East Tennessee at Farragut High School this morning.

Besides Bredesen and Bryson on the ballot, five independents.

George Banks, David Gatchell, Marivuana Stout Leinoff, Charles E Smith, Howard Switzer, and Carl "Two Feathers" Whitaker.
