Deadlines for Mailing Christmas Cards, Presents Approaches

Knoxville (WVLT) - Time is running out to get your Christmas cards and packages to where they're going by Christmas.

Monday is expected to be the busiest day for processing mail at the Post Office.

The United States Postal Service will likely handle 280 million first class cards and letters that day.

An average day is 100 million.

The deadline for Christmas delivery of parcel post mail is December 13th.

For first class mail, it's Monday December 18th.

Priority mail is Wednesday December 20th.

And express mail, Friday December 22nd and Saturday December 23rd.
