PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Police in Pigeon Forge went undercover with Alcoholic Beverage Commission agents at convenience stores and found several that were selling beer to minors.

Police Chief Jack Baldwin says officers went to every business in the city that sell packaged beer. He says officers sent in 18-20 year old's to attempt to buy beer. He says 5 local businesses had clerks that sold beer to the minors.

The businesses were: Exxon Power Pumper, 206 Wears Valley Road; Discount Tobacco and Beer, 3152 Parkway; Patriot Park Mart, 265 Old Mill Avenue; Tienda Latin San Angel, 264 Old Mill Avenue; Tienda Hispana, 2530 McGill Street.

"When a business lets this happen 2 or 3 times than, one time it's understandable that mistakes happen but when it's more than once it can get really serious," said Pigeon Forge Chief Jack Baldwin.

The clerks reported to Pigeon Forge Police Department on Tuesday to be booked. They're scheduled to be in the Sevier County General Sessions court on March 4.
