'My Daddy Hit Him For No Reason,' Daughter Says Of Ax Attack

Columbia, Tenn. (AP) -- A man charged with killing another man with an ax had been drinking all day and attacked without provocation.

That's according to the suspect's daughter who was also the victim's girlfriend.

Fifty-one-year-old Randy Clayton Normal was charged with first-degree murder last week after 31-year-old Timothy Michael Fuller died of wounds suffered in the attack.

Normal's mother, Margaret Rankin, had said her son attacked Fuller in self-defense. Rankin was not present during the attack.

But April Normal disputes that account, saying Fuller was trying to break up a fight between her and her mother.
