Man Arraigned in Connection with Accident that Killed UT Student

Knoxville (WVLT) A man charged with leaving the scene of an accident that killed a UT student was arraigned this morning.
28 year old Jason Stanke appeared before a judge this morning in Knox County Court.
Stanke was indicted with the felony version of leaving the scene of an accident involving death.
Police believe Stanke was behind the wheel of an SUV that struck 20 year old Morgan McCarty in the Fort Sanders neighborhood on September 23rd of last year.
Morgan later died at UT Medical Center.
The judge will hear motions in Stanke's case on February eighth.
