Wrestling For The Troops

Knoxville (WVLT) -- It might not be the WWE, but tonight, these guys proved that sometimes you don't need glamor to help out America's servicemen and servicewomen.

Tennessee Mountain Wrestling hosted a Legends show this evening at the National Guard Armory on Sutherland Avenue.

Among the wrestlers grappling for a good cause were, "Dirty White Boy" Tony Anthony, "The Tennessee Stud" Robert Fuller, and Terry Landell who helped organize the event.

"These guys have been overseas and they went over there to fight for us," he said. "All the people outside of Knoxville and inside of Knoxville, if everyone comes out, support the troops right here, tonight."

The show hoped to sell all 1,000 in the house.

They plan to donate a share of the total money collected to the Tennessee National Guard's 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment - Regimental Combat Team.
