Knoxville (WVLT) -- It was an exciting morning for 200 Knox County students who received their G.E.D.'s at Central United Methodist Church. .
"I've been waiting on this day forever, it seems. It's just something I wanted to make my family proud, myself proud, something that's just touched my heart," said Joy Fielden, who was one of the 200 graduates.
Fielden is currently enrolled at Pellissipi to continue her education in Case Management.
Congressman Jimmy Duncan gave the commencement speech and told the graduates to always to believe in themselves and to never give up their dreams of getting their diplomas.
