Arrest made in fatal South Knoxville home invasion

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)- The fugitive from a deadly South Knoxville home invasion is in custody.

KPD says 24 year old Jimmy "Jimbo" Roberts was arrested at a residence on New York Avenue last night.

Police say Roberts was then taken to UT Medical Center for treatment for a head wound he recieved, during Monday's violent robbery attempt on Colonial Drive.

Roberts is charged with possession of a firearm during a felony,
aggravated robbery, and aggravated burlglary.

He is a resident of Andersonville, Tennessee.

Police say Roberts and 24-year-old Joshua Watson, broke down the front door of Jonathan and Jamie Franklin's home. They then demanded cash. A fight broke out between the suspects and the victims and Watson was killed, while Johnathan Franklin was injuried.
