Body found in South Knoxville pond identified

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- A man found floating in a retaining pond in South Knoxville Tuesday night has been identified.

According to Knox County Sheriff's Office, he is James Dobbins, 54, who lived at a home on Woodlawn School Road.

A woman who lives nearby spotted the body on her property while tending her horses.

Divers with KCSO recovered the body shortly after. There appears to be no signs of foul play.

The medical examiner is waiting for further testing before determining the cause of death.
