Crimetracker: Police identify victims in East Knoxville home invasion

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Knoxville Police Dept. identified the six people inside an East Knoxville home last Friday when armed intruders robbed them at gunpoint.

Police said John Jack, Ebony Burton, Chasity Clamons, Lataya Dixon, Carvin Dupont, and Ezelia Nelson were all in the home on 5th Ave. around 9:00 p.m. Friday when the three masked men burst into the house. One of the intruders had a shotgun, while another was carrying a handgun.

According to police, the suspects hit one of the male victims in the head with the butt of the pistol and hit the other male victim with the butt of the shotgun. The victims told authorities the man with the shotgun fired a shot, but no one was hit.

Three female victims said the robbers ran off with their purses. Both male victims refused medical treatment. Police noted that all of the victims have been uncooperative. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Knoxville Police Department.
