Firefighters extinguish clothing store fire

STRAWBERRY PLAINS, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The New Market Volunteer Fire Department fought a fire that devastated a Civil War reenactment clothing company just before 6:30 p.m. Saturday evening.

K & M Co. is located on the 3000 block of Old Andrew Johnson Highway in Strawberry Plains.

Firefighters said the business is still standing, but the inside has been burned completely by the fire.

The business owner was out of town during the fire, and no injuries have been reported.

The cause into the fire is ongoing.
