Halls home consumed by fire

HALLS, Tenn. (WVLT) -- One Halls family is now homeless after their house went up in flames around 8:00 Monday night.

When rural metro firefighters arrived, the house was consumed with flames front to back. Firefighters helped one woman by giving her water and comfort. Jonathan Rood, Rural Metro Battalion Cheif, was there at the time of the fire.

"It's pretty much a total loss. Where there's not smoke damage, there's water damage and heat damage," said Rood.

Officals have still not figured out what caused the fire. No one was hurt in the fire.
