NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Gov. Bill Haslam will conclude budget hearings for his state departments on Tuesday.
The hearings are for fiscal year 2013-14. Departments scheduled to meet before the governor are TennCare, Correction, Economic and Community Development, and Higher Education.
Despite improving state revenues, Haslam has asked state departments to develop plans for a 5 percent spending cut as a fallback.
The hearings began last Tuesday.
