JACKSBORO, Tenn. (WVLT) — A jury has reached a verdict in the murder trial of former Campbell County High School student Kenny Bartley.

Bartley was found guilty of reckless homicide. He has been released on $7,500 bond.

The jury returned a verdict of not guilty of felony murder and not guilty of attempted first degree murder.

The jury also found Bartley guilty of of having a gun on school property, of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a schedule IV controlled substance with intent to deliver.

Bartley was 14 when police say he shot and killed Bruce and wounded two assistant principals.

Bartley pleaded guilty in 2007 in exchange for a 45-year-sentence, but the plea bargain was thrown out because the defendant made the deal without consent from his parents.
