Knoxville Police investigating armed robbery at Walgreen's

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Knoxville Police say they have a robbery suspect in custody following a search.

Police say the suspect, Shane Bryant, came into the Walgreen's at 2400 N. Broadway Thursday night wearing a grey hoodie pulled tight around his head. He showed the clerk a pistol and demanded money. The clerk cooperated and gave the suspect cash that was in the drawer.

Shane Bryant has been charged with four counts of Aggravated Robbery, one count of Aggravated Burglary and one count of theft in which police have connected him to another incident that happened on March 14,2014 on Nichols Avenue. Bryant also had an outstanding warrant on file for Violation of Probation.

Walgreens, 2400 N. Broadway, March 20, 2014
EZ Mart, 1103 Tennessee Avenue (Business and individual)
The Quick Stop, 815 W. Baxter Avenue

Bryant is being held on a $140,000 bond.
