UPDATE: Pigeon Forge brush fire started with power lines, officials say

UPDATE: PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- The Tennessee state forestry department says a power line likely started the brush fire in Pigeon Forge over the weekend.

Officials tell us three homes had minor damage.

Fire officials say the brush fire is 100 percent contained.

One home was damaged in the fire.

Crews will remain at the scene overnight as a precaution.

Officials in Sevier County say a large brush fire is being battled in Pigeon Forge.

It originated near Walker Trail, not far from Dollywood.

Fire officials say Dollywood is at risk.

Dispatch says nearby rental cabins are threatened but as of 4 Sunday afternoon there were no reports of any structure fires.

Timber Tops Cabin Rental tells Local 8 News they have evacuated about 20 cabins.

There have been at least three reported brush fires in East Tennessee Sunday, Blount and Knox Counties included.
