WEST KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- Salon Visage is working with Christie & Co Salon, located directly within the heart of the storm damage (New York) to distribute needed items.

Lois Christie, the president of Intercoiffure America/Canada owns Christie & Co Salon in Bayside, New York.

That salon is in a hard-hit region of Queens that doesn’t have a local Red Cross collection area.

Christie has a team there to distribute needed items.

"I have a lot of friends and colleagues in New York, and the pictures we’ve seen in the news simply don’t do justice to the pain and challenges many people are facing," states Frank Gambuzza, co-owner of The Visage Group. "We want to do what we can to help these people get back on their feet."

"We will be shipping items to New York several times between now and mid-December," adds Belinda Gambuzza, co-owner of The Visage Group. "We’re hoping to be completely overwhelmed with donations, and we’ll be honored to cover the shipping and logistics challenges of having items delivered where they’re needed.

Needed items:
Warm clothing
Shampoos, conditioners
Baby products and toiletries

Items can be dropped off at Salon Visage, Spa Visage, Studio Visage, or Frank’s Barbershop.

They will then be shipped to Christie & Co Salon.
