KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) Pushed to the ground, pants pulled down, and bones broken. A popular Knoxville barber was robbed at knife point. Glenn Farrington just got home two days ago. The well-known barbershop owner spent 20 days in the hospital. Now he's opening up about what two thugs did to him.

The whole thing was caught on camera. Robbers burst into Glenn's Barber Shop in Fountain City. He tells me it all started when a woman came to the door asking for ten dollars. Glenn Farrington says, "They opened the door and shoved me back. I didn't see that other guy out there with her. He came in and they knocked me down. I grabbed her by the hair and slung her down, but she got up and hit me."

The crook was fighting mad after he pushed her and both robbers threw him to the ground. Farrington says, "They knocked me down and it broke my hip. I couldn't move. I couldn't get up. They took my billfold out of my pocket"

Glenn spent three weeks in the hospital. He's home now, but needs a walker to get around. Surgeons had to put in a metal rod in this thigh. Farrington says, "It still hurts. My leg still hurts."

He's recovering and in spite of it all, Glenn's looking forward to getting back to his routine. Farrington says, "I'm going back to work someday. It may be another month or so, but I'm going back to work."

A lot of people are in and out of the store asking about Glenn. Right now Glenn's grandson and wife run the barber shop. Even with three cameras, still no arrests. So if you recognize these suspects, call police.

Glenn tells Local 8 News drugs are a big problem in that area off Broadway and he wishes Knoxville Police would have more of a presence. Glenn has been cutting hair for over 50 years. Many know him better for his long time gospel singing.
