Morgan Co. Schools asks public to weigh in on paddling policy on Monday

WARTBURG, Tenn. (WVLT) - This is in response to the controversy that arose from Dr. Penny Elizabeth Boyd. She's the former principal accused of using excessive force while paddling a student in September.

A five year old boy was hit eight times for throwing crayons and rocks. Boyd is now suspended without pay and awaiting trial.

Morgan County Schools is holding a public meeting at 6:30 Monday in its central office.

Officials are asking for your input on any possible changes to the policy.
If they do make any changes they would take effect at the start of the next school year.
