Rockin' the Docks postponement leaves businesses playing catch up

LENOIR CITY, Tenn. (WVLT) Rockin' The Docks had their fireworks show Monday night after it was cancelled last week due to inclement weather.

People came out to enjoy food and fun. For vendors though, it was a day of playing "catch up."

The rain last week put a damper on profits for the businesses set up at Rockin' The Docks.

For Tom Gates, owner of Fun Time rentals, he's hoping he'll be able to make some money.

He says, "as wet as its been its really been hard on people like us that go to street festivals like this."

It was the first time Bojangles of Lenoir City was at Rockin' The Docks. Manager Jeffry West, couldn't believe it.

"We were expecting quite a few people you know the Rockin the docs I'm from Lenoir City and usually it's pretty busy," says West.

Despite the business fall backs, people still came out to enjoy the food, fun, and the fireworks over Fort Loudon Lake.
