KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A state of emergency is in place for the state of Tennessee today.
The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) activated the alert at a Level III State of Emergency at 6 p.m. Sunday.
The agency says flash freezing could make roadways dangerously slick this morning.
TEMA discourages travel today; if travel is absolutely necessary, the agency encourages state residents to call 511 for road conditions.
