Storms rock East Tennessee; topple buildings, trees, powerlines

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Storms rocked East Tennessee early this evening, knocking down power lines, trees, and buildings.

Part of Passtime Garage in Clinton collapsed as high wind swept through the area. Two men were working under a van when it fell on both of them. The men are okay.

In Harriman, the Food City sign was blown over. Parts of the Beaty Chevrolet building on Parkside Drive were toppled too.

Utility companies in Anderson and Knox counties reported wide spread power outages.
