KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- It's a talker on the streets of Knoxville and online, the search for a new head football coach at the University of Tennessee.

Fans have a variety of emotions they are expressing publicly through Twitter. Some of disappointment, discouragement, and in some cases anger. There's even been comments about the coaching job will be run by a volunteer.

"I'm a big UT football fan, I have been for years and we've gone through a rough stretch as of late and I'm hopeful we'll get a good coach in here to kind of bring us back," said Harrison Taylor, a UT fan. "I just really don't think that anyone wants to come here."

"To me it's just another thing to watch on TV. it's almost like a TV show, something new every day, something else to look at and see," said Trevor Jackson, a UT student.

The search for a head coach started 3 weeks ago and so far 2 people have officially turned down offers by the university.

Fans say they want to find a good coach that can build the program back to success and unite the fan base, students, and players.
