SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- There are new brochures for a historic walking tour in Sevierville. You can pick one up at the visitor and welcome center.
The brochures spotlight 20 historic locations in the downtown area.
A local historian said the tour is a great way to imagine just how much Sevierville has changed.
"As you take this walking tour, you see the progression of where the courthouses moved over the years. And when the current courthouse moved in 1896 to the current position, the town started shifting southward. Up until that time, it had only been one street," said Carroll McMahan, a Sevier County historian.
The city also plans to make a mobile version of the map, available soon through Sevierville's Smoky Mountains app.
