Wilderness Wildlife Week kicks off in Pigeon Forge this weekend

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The 24th annual Wilderness Wildlife Week kicked off Saturday in Pigeon Forge.

The event is a great way to stay inside when it's cold outside.

The special week is quite popular, so much so it had to move into a bigger venue this year to offer more programs.

"Coming to Wilderness Wildlife Week not only are you entertained, but you can also be educated you can learn about our heritage here in Sevier County, in East Tennessee, and the Appalachian region. We offer all kinds of programming about that as well. There's music, there's clogging, there's so much for people to do," said Butch Helton from the Pigeon Forge Office of Special Events.

Wilderness Wildlife Week runs through February 1 at the LeConte Center.
